Keep in mind, not all of my favorite dining experiences were about the level of food… Sometimes it’s the impeccable service, the company I was fortunate to keep, the occasion that was celebrated. My most memorable bottle of wine was not necessarily its quality, but perhaps the reason for its opening.

The exciting about the world of food and wine is that it is everchanging, constantly evolving. Wines we may not have enjoyed in the past are now being produced in new regions that we may find we absolutely love. A dish or food we previously avoided could become a new favorite because a talented chef prepared it in a way you never tasted before.

I encourage you to keep your minds - and mouths! - open. Nothing is ever “the same” the second (or third, or fourth) time… Give everything a chance. You don’t know if you don’t like it until you’ve tried it.

Food and wine is and always has been about enjoyment. So, stop overthinking it and just have fun!

CHEERS to a New Year!

See you over the next glass….
